Hello! Nice to meet you. We are so excited that you are interested in joining us here at Nickering Horse Barn. My name is Angela, and this is my husband, James, together we designed, developed, and own this incredible barn. We are both passionate about animals and wanted to be surrounded by nature every day. Opening a horse barn was a natural decision. What greater privilege than to be entrusted with someone’s pride and joy and help that animal thrive? Giving that horse the best home and care it can have and the best atmosphere for the owner and horse to bond in. 

We endeavored to create a barn that will bring people and animals together. A place where confidence can flourish, and friendships can grow. A place where the rider and animal want to be, and the trip here does not feel like a chore. Where the non-horse rider can still be comfortable and enjoy their time waiting for their companion. This was our goal when we began development and we believe we have achieved this and then some. 

Our overall vision changed slightly since setting the very first fence post. During construction our first child, Makensley, joined our family. She will be brought up with the greatest gifts a child can be given; fresh air, a good home, and surrounded by animals. Because of her, our goals also include making the property ‘kid friendly’. From a playground to a future goat park/petting zoo, we are considering how the whole family can enjoy their time at the barn. This barn will become her community and her legacy.
